dc.description.abstractEsta dissertação Learn to fly or buy a plane ticket? A Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa, é uma pesquisa e reflexão sobre a génese, desenvolvimento, significado e afirmação da Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa. A partir de uma conjunto pessoal e não exaustivo das exposições de / sobre arquitetura que mudaram o rumo da Arquitetura, da análise da produção disciplinar e teórica da Arquitetura contemporânea sob a perspetiva de um legado de mudança e, também, de um olhar sobre os eventos expositivos de arquitetura realizados ou com origem em Portugal, contextualizamos o surgimento da Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa, num tempo em que se conjugaram interna e externamente condições, contextos e visões que permitiram a sua criação. Obtida uma visão ampla das quatro edições da Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa, realizadas num ambiente de crescente competitividade entre bienais e trienais, procuramos destacar o papel do arquiteto, assim como encontrar um entendimento abrangente deste evento, quanto à sua contribuição para a difusão e debate da cultura arquitetónica, a partir do contexto português e numa perspetiva alargada de públicos, diferenciação e afirmação de identidade / singularidade.pt
dc.description.abstractLearn to fly or buy a plane ticket? The Lisbon Architecture Triennial, is a research and reflection on the genesis, development, meaning and affirmation of the Lisbon Architecture Triennial. From a personal choice of the exhibitions of / on architecture that changed the direction of Architecture, from the analysis of the disciplinary and theoretical production of contemporary Architecture under the perspective of a legacy of change and, also, from a look at the architectural exhibition events held on or from Portugal, we contextualize the emergence of the Lisbon Architecture Triennial, at a time when conditions, contexts and visions were combined, internally and externally, that allowed its creation. Having obtained a broad view of the four editions of the Lisbon Architecture Triennial, held in an environment of increasing competitiveness between biennials and triennials, we sought to highlight the role of the architect as well as to find a comprehensive understanding of this event as to its contribution to the diffusion and debate of the architectural culture, from the portuguese context and in a wide perspective of publics, differentiation and affirmation of identity / uniqueness.en
