O nosso artigo analisará o legado historiográfico do Padre Francisco Manuel Alves, Abade de Baçal, na perspetiva de procurar compreender qual o ideário que lhe subjaz na construção de uma ideia de Portugal, valorizando o papel do local e do regional no quadro nacional.
Our article will analyse the historiographical legacy of Father Francisco Manuel Alves, Abbot of Baçal, in the perspective of trying to understand his ideology in the construction of an idea of Portugal, valuing the role of local and regional in a national framework.
