Transformação espacial contínua no interior doméstico : o caso das tipologias flexíveis

Abstract

Podemos observar que na arquitectura actual das habitações, verifica-se um problema de excesso de especialização funcional das várias divisões. É questionável o modo como a maioria das pessoas está acostumada à arquitectura que é essencialmente composta por elementos estáticos (Kronenburg, 2007). A habitação actual, e do futuro a curto prazo, deveria ser capaz de ser projectada como um espaço flexível, que responda ao nosso estilo de vida - flexível, dinâmico, fluido, mutante e instável - e que se possa modificar em função de novas necessidades geradas pelas transformações dos núcleos familiares. Este trabalho, explora as características flexíveis espaciais do interior doméstico, para que possa haver adaptações não só a longo prazo, mas também a curto prazo, inclusive diariamente caso haja necessidade. Procura-se relacionar o contexto cultural humano com a arquitectura flexível, com o fim de refletir sobre as possibilidades de transformação que os espaços interiores podem oferecer na habitação ao longo do tempo, as características e ferramentas que possibilitam esses processos. No final é apresentada uma proposta de tipologia flexível, no sentido de responder à diversidade social, às rápidas transformações sócio familiares, tecnológicas e culturais, permitindo uma interação mais amigável do ser humano com o espaço da habitação; partindo de um formato o mais simples possível, para que possa ser facilmente aplicado a outros projectos, constituindo-se de forma proto-abstracta como um meta-projecto.

We can observe that in the current architecture of the dwellings, there is a problem of super-functional specialization of the various divisions. It is questionable how most people are accustomed to architecture that is essentially composed of static elements (Kronenburg, 2007). Today's housing, and the short-term future’s, should be designed as a flexible space that responds to one’s lifestyle - flexible, dynamic, fluid, mutable and unstable - and that can be modified according to new needs generated by the transformations of the family constitution. This work explores the flexible spatial characteristics of the domestic interior, so that adaptations can be made not only in the long term, but also in the short term, even on a daily basis if necessary. It seeks to relate the human cultural context with the flexible architecture, in order to reflect on the possibilities of change that interior spaces can offer in the housing over time, the characteristics and tools that make these processes possible. In the end, a proposal of a flexible typology is presented, in responding to social diversity, transient socio-family, technological and cultural transformations, allowing a friendlier interaction of the human being with the living space; starting from a format as simple as possible, so that it can be easily applied to other projects, constituting itself in a proto-abstract form as a meta-project.
