Desenvolver a Amazônia com justiça ambiental : questões para repensar os problemas da educação regional

Resumo
A Amazônia brasileira tem sido palco de processos de devassamentos que impuseram modelos de desenvolvimento orientados para atender demandas exógenas. Esses modelos geraram profundas transfigurações ecológicas e culturais na Amazônia, resultando em desordem socioambiental e insustentabilidade econômico-social. O ambiente humano amazônico tem sido sistematicamente negligenciado, fato facilmente comprovado pelos indicadores sociais que sempre são inferiores à média nacional, a exemplo da Educação, dimensão privilegiada em nosso estudo, conforme demonstrado pelos próprios dados oficiais. Neste sentido, defendemos a urgência de se pensar e implementar na região um modelo de desenvolvimento com justiça ambiental, o que demanda, dentre outros aspectos, a garantia da oferta de educação com qualidade social.
The Brazilian Amazon has been the stage of trashed processes that have imposed development models oriented to meet exogenous demands. These models have generated profound ecological and cultural transfigurations in the Amazon, resulting in social-environmental disorder and economic-social unsustainability. The Amazon man has been systematically neglected, a fact easily proven by social indicators that are always lower than the national average, to the example of Education, as demonstrated by the official data and privileged dimension in our study. In this sense, we defend the urgency of thinking and implementing in the region a model of development with social justice, which demands, among other aspects, investments that guarantee the provision of education with social quality.
