A inovação e o desenvolvimento estratégico nas organizações desportivas dirigido à inclusão e à mudança social

A investigação teve por objetivo saber como as Organizações Desportivas estão a inovar e
desenvolver-se estrategicamente para melhorarem a sua performance organizacional, e
produzir resultados e impactos positivos nas comunidades, considerando aspetos de inclusão e
mudança social.
Isto é importante, pois a chegada do Novo Milénio trouxe vários desafios às Organizações
Desportivas e ao Desporto.
O estudo é de cariz transversal, exploratório, com auxílio de métodos mistos. Foram
realizadas seis (6) entrevistas semiestruturadas a gestores desportivos.
Os resultados obtidos mostram que apesar das dificuldades, falta de conhecimento e
competências, as Organizações Desportivas vão introduzindo nas suas atuações algumas
ações e mecanismos inovadores que permitem a inclusão, porém estas são de baixo risco e
desenvolvidas de forma incremental.
Observam-se ainda mecanismos e estratégias com vista à Inclusão e Mudança Social,
direcionadas a públicos tendencialmente com rendimentos inferiores, tais como minorias
étnicas e portadores de deficiência, excluindo as suas orientações estratégicas para públicos
associados a orientações sexuais e religiosas.
Conseguem ainda ir diversificando, promovendo e divulgando a sua oferta através de
parcerias e eventos inter-organizacionais. Porém, destaca-se a tendência em manter a
dependência quase exclusiva do erário público.
Este estudo permitiu compreender como as Organizações Desportivas têm conseguido
desenvolver algumas dinâmicas de inovação e mecanismos de desenvolvimento estratégico
inclusivo geradores de mudança nas suas comunidades. Por fim são ainda colocadas algumas
linhas orientadoras no sentido da Inovação, Desenvolvimento Estratégico, Inclusão Social e
Mudança Social nas Organizações Desportivas.
This study aims to understand how Sports Organizations are strategically innovating and developing their work, in order to enhance their performance and produce positives impacts and outcomes on the communities, considering aspects of inclusion and social change. Such matter is important since the rise of the New Millenium brought several challenges to Sports Organizations and to Sport. This is a cross-sectional, exploratory and mix method study. Six (6), semi-structured interviews were undertaken with sports managers. The results, allow us to understand that despite some constraints, lack of expertise and skills, Sports Organizations have been able to introduce some innovative actions and mechanisms to promote social inclusion, however, those are low risk and incremental. Besides, Sports Organizations are developing, some dynamics and strategies regarding Social Inclusion and Social Change, addressed to population segments of low socioeconomic status, ethnic minorities, and physically challenged people, excluding on their strategic orientation sexual orientation and religious segments. They are also being able to diversify their offer through partnerships and interorganizational events. Finally, regarding their funding capacity, it is still noticed that they rely on public funding. This study, allow us to understand that Sports Organizations are being able to develop some innovation dynamics and inclusive development mechanisms triggering change in their communities. To conclude, are presented some guidelines regarding Innovation, Strategic Development, Social Inclusion and Social Change in Sport Organizations.
