| dc.description.abstract | “ (…), todas as Cidades do mundo são expressões materiais da diversidade das sociedades através da história e, por esse facto, todas elas são históricas” e ainda, a “Salvaguarda das Cidades Históricas entende-se por ser a medida necessária para a sua proteção, a sua conservação e o seu restauro, assim como para o seu desenvolvimento coerente e para adaptação harmoniosa à vida contemporânea.” (IGESPAR, 2009, p. 1). Nestas frases está expresso o muito que esta investigação encerra e a importância do seu restauro e conservação. O Homem é o principal responsável pela criação da cidade e também o seu destruidor, tanto no seu enquadramento natural como construído. Ou seja, começou com o aparecimento da Indústria e com o rápido progresso da economia houve um aumento populacional descontrolado nas grandes cidades deixando as cidades rurais ao abandono o que colmatou na sua degradação e por fim no seu desaparecimento. Depois vieram as Guerras que trouxeram a destruição de várias cidades capitais históricas apagando assim “documentos históricos que exprimem os valores próprios das civilizações urbanas tradicionais.” Perante essas ameaças, o homem começou a preocupar-se com o desaparecimento da sua herança deixada pelos seus antepassados. Para salvaguardar o futuro, foram então criadas organizações com objetivos de salvar as cidades em risco, de desaparecerem. Atualmente essas preocupações foram aumentando sendo que é necessário mais do que nunca protegê-las. E para obter uma compreensão profunda sobre o que se refere é apresentado em estudo de caso (Plano entregue à UNESCO e integrando projetos como a Pousada Nacional de S. Pedro desenhada pelo Arq. Siza Vieira e as habitações localizadas na Rua Banana) sobre a própria cidade no qual são analisado as demais intervenções que tenham influenciado (ou não) o seu desenvolvimento. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | " (...), all cities of the world are material expressions of the diversity of societies throughout history and, therefore, they are all historical," and yet, the "Protection of Historic Cities means to be a necessary measure to their protection, preservation and its restoration as well as their coherent development and harmonious adaptation to contemporary life." (IGESPAR, 2009, p.1). In these sentences is expressed just how much this investigation ends and the importance of its restoration and conservation. Man is primarily responsible for the creation of the city and also its destroyer, both in its natural and built. That is, began with the appearance of industry and with the rapid progress of the economy was an uncontrolled population growth in cities leaving the rural towns to abandon what has filled in its degradation and finally in her disappearance. Then came the wars that brought the destruction of many historic capital cities thus erasing "historical documents that express the eigenvalues of the traditional urban civilizations." Faced with these threats, the man began to worry about the disappearance of his inheritance left by their ancestors. To safeguard the future, were then created organizations with goals to save the cities at risk of disappearing. Currently, these concerns have been increasing and it is necessary more than ever to protect them. And to get a deep understanding of the relation is presented in case study (Plan submitted to UNESCO and integrating projects such as the National Hotel St. Peter's designed by architect Siza Vieira and homes located in Banana Street) on the very city that analyzes the interventions which are affected (or not) development. | en |
