A influência das ruturas da parentalidade no desenvolvimento de perturbações disruptivas do comportamento e de défice de atenção: o limiar da psicopatia

Abstract

A família providencia um ambiente mais ou menos seguro para o desenvolvimento da criança adquirindo um papel fundamental na definição do self. As ruturas da parentalidade, sendo que se tratam de mudanças drásticas na dinâmica familiar, exercem influência na vida dos sujeitos e por conseguinte no seu funcionamento psicológico, deste modo este estudo pretende perceber o impacto das ruturas da parentalidade no desenvolvimento de Perturbações Disruptivas do Comportamento e de Défice de Atenção em jovens, analisando a segurança do vínculo estabelecido com os seus progenitores. Este estudo visa ainda perceber a relação destas perturbações com a Psicopatia. Os resultados demonstraram que parece haver uma correlação negativa entre a segurança sentida pelos jovens em relação aos pais, medida pelo instrumento Kerns Security Scale (Kerns, Klepac, & Cole, 1996), e o número de sintomas de Perturbações Disruptivas do Comportamento e de Défice de Atenção, medidos pelo instrumento Disruptive Behavior Disorders Rating Scale (Pelham, Gnagy, Greenslade & Milich, 1992), demonstrando que quanto menor a segurança sentida pelos indivíduos em relação aos seus pais, mais sintomas de Perturbações Disruptivas do Comportamento e de Défice de Atenção irão apresentar. Através de uma análise qualitativa dos instrumentos anteriormente referidos e de algumas questões selecionadas instrumento Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Youth Version (Forth, Kosson, & Hare, 2003), foi possível detetar uma relação entre indícios de traços associados à Psicopatia, Perturbações Disruptivas do Comportamento e de Défice de Atenção e segurança, que ajudaram a comprovar a hipótese levantada.

Family provides an environmental more or less safe in children development, acquiring a fundamental role in the self definition. Parenting ruptures are drastic changes in family dynamics and they influence people lives and therefore their psychological functioning. So this study tries to understand the impact of the parenting ruptures in the development of Disruptive Behavior and Attention Deficit Disorders within teenagers, analyzing the safety of the bond established with their parents. This study also seeks to understand the relation of these disorders with Psychopathy. The results show that there appears to be a negative correlation between the security felt by youngsters in relation to their parents, as measured by Kerns Security Scale (Kerns, Klepac, & Cole, 1996), and the number of Disruptive Behavior and Attention Deficit Disorders symptoms, as measured by Disruptive Behavior Disorders Rating Scale (Pelham, Gnagy, Greenslade & Milich, 1992), showing that the lower the security felt by individuals in relation to their parents, more symptoms of Disruptive Behavior and Attention Deficit Disorders are presented. Through a qualitative analysis of the instruments mentioned before and some selected questions of, it was possible to detect a relation between evidences of Psychopathy traits, Disruptive Behavior Disorders and security, which helped prove the hypothesis.
