dc.description.abstractAbordamos a figura Mª Leonor Sampaio Botelho (1915-1996), como assistente social, formada no Instituto de Serviço Social, que percorreu 4 regimes políticos distintos: finais da 1.ª República e Ditadura Militar; período salazarista; período marcelista; e no Pós 25 de Abril. O propósito é analisar hermenêuticamente, na base fontes documentais e contextualizadas no tempo e na época história, a sua ação social, Foi docente em várias instituições, no âmbito assistencial e social, parlamentária (1949-57) e exerceu várias funções de assistente social em muitas instituições e organismos. Todo o seu percurso de intervenção, numa época em que o acesso da mulher, na sociedade era impedida pelas normas do regime, lutou pela proteção da mulher no trabalho e outras medidas assistenciais moderna, em especial, aquando deputada. Foi uma voz incómoda no quadro do regime salazarista, mas, naturalmente, nunca o pôs em causa, apesar de algumas desilusões em termos de política social no período salazarismo.pt
dc.description.abstractThis article deals with the figure of Mª Leonor Sampaio Botelho (1915-1996), a social worker trained at the Institute of Social Work, who went through four distinct political regimes: the end of the 1st Republic and the Military Dictatorship, the Salazarist period; the Marcelist period and; Post April 25. The aim is to hermeneutically analyze his social work based on documentary sources and contextualized in time and history. She was a teacher in various institutions in welfare and social work, a member of parliament (1949 57) and worked as a social worker in many institutions and organizations. Her entire career, at a time when the regime's rules prevented women's access to society, was spent fighting for the protection of women at work and other modern welfare measures, especially when she was a member of parliament. She was an uncomfortable voice within the Salazar regime, although she never questioned it, despite some disappointments regarding social policy during the Salazar period.en
