In this paper we aim, first, to identify small deficiencies that are manifest in us all, and in particular in older people, in the use of common objects, as well as the deficiencies of those objects with which we live in our daily life (travel records). We then set about to analyse research projects in Inclusive Design developed in the Design programme of the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, focused on the exploratory observations of financial, material and technological possi bi - lities that enable the production of small series of objects, easily manufactured in an industrial context of scarce resources. Finally, we propose research areas that make use of digital technologies incorporated in on-going projects in other areas, with a view to broadening the fields of research, and translating ludic applications into the areas of seriously impaired young people, also in order to improve their relation with the world.
