Resumo
Diversas questões se colocam quando se quer decidir qual é o tipo de janela que
se quer implementar numa obra de reabilitação. A escolha do material, do seu sistema de
funcionamento e a configuração que resultará a expressão pretendida pelo arquiteto,
garantindo simultaneamente as exigências de conforto.
A presente dissertação pretende sintetizar um conjunto de reflexões e dados que
nos ajude a responder às necessidades que apresenta uma obra de reabilitação na escolha
dos elementos que constituem uma janela. Sendo um elemento funcional e estético que
se manifesta na arquitetura de diferentes maneiras que permite a comunicação entre o
espaço interior e exterior sendo também limitada por diferentes fatores construtivos que
por sua vez, facilita a passagem de luz natural e de ar. Nesse sentido, pretende-se
evidenciar a relevância do objeto em estudo, analisando o seu desenho, os materiais que
a compõe, o seu funcionamento e a sua representação. Pretende-se também analisar casos
de estudos em obras de reabilitação com o objetivo de perceber quais foram as intenções
dos arquitetos na execução das suas obras.
Por fim no âmbito do trabalho na cadeira de Projeto 5.1 e 5.2 da Universidade
Lusófona do Porto, que consistiu em reabilitar uma ruina implantada no Largo Actor
Dias. Analisando e apresentando elementos desenhados que representam as opções
tomadas, os materiais escolhidos e sistema de funcionamento que iram configurar a
solução final.
A number of questions are put forward when deciding what type of window is to be implemented in a rehabilitation project, from the kind of material, its constructive systems, and the sort of aesthetics is intended by the architect therefore guaranteeing its sustainable comfort. This dissertation intends to synthesize a number of topics and data which will help us answer the requirements needed in a rehabilitation project regarding the selection of the elements that compose a window. On the other hand, being a functional and aesthetical element it manifests in architecture in different manners and allows communication between the interior and the exterior spaces, being however limited by different constructive aspects that simplifies the passage of natural light and air. Therefore, we intend to highlight the relevance of the object being studied, by analysing its constructive methods and its representation. Moreover, rehabilitation case studies will be analysed with the primary objective being what was the architect’s intentions regarding the final result. To conclude, in the context of the subject Project 5.1 and 5.2 of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto, it is proposed as a final project to rehabilitate and ruins located at the Largo Actor Dias, being part of historical centre of Porto, an analysis of the intervention area is carried out through drawn elements the options will be presented, through the chosen materials and operating systems that will configure the final solution.
