Resumo
O setor do Turismo tem uma importância estratégica para a região Norte de Portugal e está em franco crescimento. Esta dissertação considera o problema da previsão das dormidas mensais nos alojamentos turísticos da região. Trata-se de um problema atual e relevante para a gestão dos alojamentos turísticos. A abordagem proposta para o resolver baseia-se na aplicação de redes neuronais artificiais.
The Tourism sector is of strategic importance to the Northern region of Portugal and is growing. This Master’s thesis considers the problem of forecasting the monthly guest nights in tourist accommodations in the region. This is a current and relevant problem to the management of tourist accommodations. The proposed approach to solve it is based on the application of artificial neural networks.
