Mauritshuis em movimento : novas perspectivas em busca do olhar decolonial

Resumo
Este trabalho propõe apresentar uma reflexão sobre a possibilidade de um museu normativo,
que nasceu no contexto da formação dos estados nacionais europeu e na construção do
imaginário moderno e colonial, em passar por processo de decolonização baseado em práticas
que propõe a desconstrução da colonialidade que o fundou.
Para esta investigação, optou-se pela metodologia de método indutivo com estudo de caso, a
partir do museu Mauritshuis, localizado em Haia nos Países Baixos, e o projeto da exposição
“Shifting Image - In Search of Johan Maurits”, que teve como proposta apresentar diferentes e
diversas perspectivas a respeito da imagem da figura histórica de Maurício de Nassau e da
presença do império holandês no Brasil no século XVII. Cabe a pesquisa analisar o processo
de exposição como uma potência para transformações estruturais na instituição enquanto
espaço de reflexão das identidades coletivas e no trabalho da relação entre o território, os temas
e os protagonistas sociais, de acordo com o pensamento dos Estudos Decoloniais e da
Sociomuseologia.

This work proposes a reflection on the possibility of a normative museum, which was born in the context of the formation of European national states and in the construction of the modern and colonial gaze, in going through a process of decolonization based on practices that seek the deconstruction of the coloniality that founded it. For the research, the methodology selected was the inductive approach along with a case study. The Mauritshuis museum, located in The Hague in the Netherlands, and the exhibition project “Shifting Image - In Search of Johan Maurits” were chosen as a case study, which aimed to present different and diverse perspectives regarding the image of the historical figure of Johan Maurits and the presence of the Dutch empire in Brazil in the 17th century. It is up to the research to analyze the exhibition process as a potential for structural transformations in the institution, as a space for reflection on collective identities and in the promotion of the triangulation between territory, themes and social protagonists, according to the thinking of Decolonial Studies and Sociomuseology .
