The educational team as a basis for pedagogical organization emerges in a time of hope in the democra-tization of teaching and the regeneration of schools and inspires school experiences that lead to a legislated option for schools. This legislative concession results from the positive influence they attribute to student learning, the educational environment, the contextualisation of the curriculum and the development of professionals. The study is of a qualitative nature and analyzes the legislation as the legislator’s speech, enunciates possible meanings of the expression and identifies the basis of organization of the teaching process in which this possible organizational figure of the school is inserted. Adopting a perspective of complementarity between ideology and utopia, it recognizes and problematizes the reinforcement of the symbolic value of the concept through the combination of concepts that are also polysemous, such as autonomy and collaborative work. It also distinguishes its function of legitimizing the government measures and the reinterpretations made by schools and highlights its contribution to rescuing hope in the renewal of schools and the transformation of society.
