Resumo
Tendo como ponto de partida o exercício da unidade curricular projecto 5.1 e 5.2, que
solicitava que fosse desenvolvido um projecto de uma residência artística e o tratamento
urbano da envolvente, a presente dissertação procura com base no existente perceber as
necessidades intrínsecas desse tipo de equipamento e a sua relação com o espaço urbano
envolvente.
Uma vez que é realizada após a conclusão do exercício, representa o trabalho de estudo
que teria ajudado no desenvolvimento da proposta. Assim, funciona como uma reflexão
sobre o que devia ter sido vantajoso descobrir antes do desenvolvimento do trabalho.
Por fim, é feita analise critica do trabalho desenvolvido na unidade curricular de
projecto com base nas descobertas da investigação feita no decorrer do desenvolvimento da
dissertação tendo como finalidade reconstruir o procedimento investigação/projecto desde
o inicio.

Taking as a starting point the exercise of the curricular unit Project 5.1 and 5.2, which requested the development of a project for an artistic residence and the urban treatment of the surroundings, this dissertation seeks, based on what already exists, to understand the intrinsic needs of this type of facility and its relationship with the surrounding urban space. Since it is carried out after the completion of the exercise, it represents a study that would have aided in the development of the proposal. Thus, it functions as a reflection on what should have been advantageous to discover before the project's development. Finally, a critical analysis of the work developed in the curricular unit project is carried out based on the findings of the research conducted during the dissertation's development, aiming to reconstruct the research/project procedure from the beginning.
