This dissertation talks about the issue of “The perception of teenagers with DID as far as the transition to active life is concerned”. Given the subject presented, through this project of investigation, we meant to know further about the perception of young people/teenagers with DID, in what concerns their preparation into active life, evaluating the perception of students regarding their obstacles/easiness inherent to the inclusion process itself in the transition to the adult life and try to understand the facts that might interfere and influence their dreams and future ambitions. To search (deeper) about the perspectives of students concerning their preparation to arise in the job market, we chose a study case. Therefore, we carried out an investigation of quantitative approach, using the interviews of three young students with DID, as an instrument of data collection. This way, we verified that the school/ education center has an important role in what concerns the social inclusion and education, being the practical training more or less enriching, but still need supervision. All of them were willing to get in the job market although they feel that the society is still discriminatory. This hope is associated with the desire of an economic emancipation and even of building and helping their families.
