Sentimentos e representações da sexualidade em professores dos anos finais do ensino fundamental

Resumo
Os estudos da sexualidade envolvem o conhecimento sobre o crescimento global do
indivíduo. A maioria dos pais ainda consideram constrangedor conversar sobre sexo com os
jovens. Cabe aos professores a grande responsabilidade de abordar o tema na escola, pois
diversas questões ligadas à sexualidade, parecem ser ainda um tabu. Assim, colocamos como
objetivos: Identificar os sentimentos e as Representações de sexualidade, em professores dos
anos finais do Ensino Fundamental nas escolas públicas de Simões-PI; conhecer os recursos
adotados pelos professores para trabalharem a temática da sexualidade, bem como suas
propostas para lidarem com o tema, em sala de aula. Do ponto de vista metodológico,
optámos por um estudo descritivo, quali-quantitativo, realizado em Simões, estado do Piauí
com 79 professores dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental de oito escolas. Os dados foram
coletados em novembro de 2014, através de questionário. A amostra contou com professores
do sexo masculino e feminino, com idades variando entre 19 a 63 anos de idade. Na sua
maioria com escolaridade superior completa, com mais de 10 anos de docência. As
representações sociais dos professores, demonstraram sentimentos positivos e negativos,
abordaram a necessidade de mais recursos para trabalharem a temática sexualidade, como
também deixou explicito a curiosidade e a timidez dos alunos quando discutem sobre
sexualidade. Em conclusão, a pesquisa nos possibilitou perceber que, se tornou necessária a
orientação, não apenas dos alunos, mas dos pais e dos professores, evidenciando-se a
importância do preparo para lidarem adequadamente com tais questões no cotidiano. Neste
processo, a Escola pode ser a saída para ajudar familiares, professores e alunos na
compreensão dos pressupostos da educação sexual.
The studies of sexuality involves knowledge about the global growth of the individual. Most parents still consider embarrassing to talk about sex with young people. It is up to teachers a great responsibility to address the issue at school, because a number of questions related to sexuality, still seem to be taboo. So, we put the following objectives: Identify the feelings and sexuality representations, teachers in the final years of primary education in public schools Simões-PI; know the resources adopted by teachers to work the theme of sexuality, as well as its proposals for dealing with the subject in the classroom. From a methodological point of view, we opted for a descriptive, qualitative and quantitative, held in Simões, Piauí state with 79 teachers from the final years of elementary school eight schools. The data were collected in November 2014, through a questionnaire. The sample consisted of male and female teachers, aged between 19-63 years old. Mostly with a university education, with over 10 years of teaching. The social representations of teachers showed positive and negative feelings, addressed the need for more resources to work the theme sexuality, as curiosity and timidity of students when discussing about sexuality also made explicit. In conclusion, the research has enabled us to realize that if the orientation has required not only the students, but parents and teachers, highlighting the importance of preparation to properly deal with such issues in daily life. In this process, the school can be output to help family members, teachers and students in understanding the assumptions of sex education.
