The knowledge about the influence of the leadership styles of the managers / leaders in the extraordinary effort and satisfaction of the team members is a strategic dimension for any organization, namely in the achievement of its objectives within the stipulated deadlines. The investigation seeks to identify what is the leadership style of maintenance leaders in the context of the aeronautical industry that most promotes the extraordinary effort and satisfaction of the team members. To achieve the objectives of the investigation, a quantitative strategy was followed, through the use of a questionnaire of leadership styles and criterion factors (Rouco, 2012), applied to 23 maintenance leaders in the context of aeronautics. From the results obtained, it was concluded that leaders perceive that the participative leadership style is what leads their team members to higher levels of extraordinary effort and satisfaction. Younger leaders perceive that they must have attitudes and behaviors related to participatative and by delegation leadership style. Older leaders perceive that they must have attitudes and behaviors related to the participative leadership style. Male leaders perceive that they must have attitudes and behaviors related to the participatative leadership style. Female leaders perceive that they must have attitudes and behaviors related to the participative and by delegation leadership style. On the other hand, it was found that the leadership style by delegation is the one with the highest coefficient of correlation with extraordinary effort and satisfaction.
