realizados in vitro ou usando animais.
ingredientes.
Propolis is a complex mixture of resinous material of varying color and consistency, harvested by bees from secretions and exudates from sprouts. Its chemical composition has been increasingly studied, however it is difficult to standardize, since the composition varies between regions and it is seasonal. This natural product has a wide range of bioactive properties, of which the antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties can be highlighted, these being associated with the predominance of phenolic compounds. Despite its popularity and long history of popular use, propolis is not considered a therapeutic agent in conventional medicine and most of the existing studies have been carried out in vitro or using animals. Thus, this work had as main objective to study in vivo and in humans of the healing and regenerative capacity of formulations containing propolis after controlled lesion, as well as of the antioxidant capacity after induction of cutaneous erythema. The adopted methodology was suitable to the proposed objectives. However, the results obtained after applying the formulations did not produce evidence of a significant impact. It would be interesting to continue this work with a larger number of volunteers, as well as to study new formulations to be able to draw conclusions regarding the impact of this ingredients.
