Resumo
A paz é um tema amplamente abordado pela Religião. A vida cotidiana enfrenta várias situações de conflito, que requerem soluções focadas mais na solidariedade do que na violência. Muito frequentemente, a negociação estabelece uma possibilidade de solução que busca pela justiça. Assim, este trabalho, à luz de uma análise na categoria «negociação» terá como ponto de partida a passagem bíblica de 1 Samuel 25,18-35. Como teoria principal, usará a contribuição de Herkenhoff (1990) sobre o valor universal da«igualdade», que é relacionada em repúdio à discriminação e à rejeição à intolerância. A paz, em um sentido mais amplo, está relacionada com a sobrevivência, bem estar, identidade e liberdade. Assim, a fim de promover a paz, a religião baseada na negociação pode contribuir àquela, fazendo as pessoas se sentirem mais seguras e mais satisfeitas.
Peace is a theme broadly addressed by Religion. The everyday life faces various situations of conflict, which require solutions focused on solidarity rather than violence. Very often, negotiation establishes a possibility of solution that searches for justice. Thus, this work, in the light of an analysis on the category «negotiation» will have as a starting point the biblical passage of 1 Samuel 25:18-35. As main theory, it will use the contribution of Herkenhoff (1990:119) on the universal value of «equality», which is related to repudiation to discrimination and rejection to intolerance. Peace in a broader sense has to do with survival, well-being, identity and freedom. So, in order to promote peace, religion based on negotiation can contribute to that, making people feel safer and more satisfied.
