escala.
This Dissertation Master in architecture stems from the research carried out on the basis of successive models, in order to demonstrate its status as a tool of paramount importance in the development of a project, the conceptual level, materiality and spatial perception and light. Thus, the following is the result of a double, but integrated reflection. It analyzes several models constructed and used by some renowned contemporary architects (XX-XXI century), as well as the various models that were produced in the context of the draft aquitectura held within the discipline of Project and which is the basis of this dissertation. The models presented were performed by hand, ie without the use of new technologies, laser cutting, water jet, among others, to explore and experience what the thought "dictated" during the act of construction (sometimes deconstruction) thereof. As a design methodology have been developed sketches, drawings stringent scales between 1/500 and 1/100. As for the execution project scales used were 1/50 and 1/20, so as to allow greater detail in transposing the physical universe and touch of the model, searching a dialogue between them. The development project was supported by a theoretical model that follows a sequence of arguments, reflections and analyzes. The process consists in making models in order to facilitate a continuous seizure of the object which led us beyond the two dimensions, and that led to a nearby building that will be constructed reality. The models to embody the ideas are crucial for the research and analysis. They effectively contribute to the understanding of the place, form, space, material and light. This operational sequence is extremely useful in developing a project. From what has been said, the model is a stated valuable tool, precise, imperative, since it is the physical representation of the building on a smaller scale.
