O moinho da vila : recuperação arquitetónica de um moinho com alteração de uso

Resumo
O presente trabalho tem os moinhos (edifícios de produção, movidos a energias
renováveis) como alvo de estudo, tendo em consideração o valor que eles acarretam para
as comunidades e contendo um conjunto de saberes e tradições, que têm desaparecido ao
longo dos tempos.
Para salvaguardar estas construções é necessário sensibilizar a proteção deste património
vernáculo, dando-lhe de novo vida, através de propostas para a sua reutilização que
beneficiará a sua envolvente em termos estéticos, arquitetónicos, económicos e sociais.
Estas construções, cuja maior parte se encontra em ruínas, se forem recuperadas estar-se á também a rejuvenescer, e a reabilitar a memória do passado, mantendo, as mesmas, ou
alterando para outras funções e atividades.
Em primeiro lugar esta investigação consiste em explorar três vertentes de protejo,
privilegiando o uso habitacional na reabilitação de moinhos, mas diferenciadas pelo
caracter da intervenção:
- Com a intervenção, não se altera a construção vernácula nem o seu valor singular;
- Com a intervenção, altera-se a construção vernácula, mas não se altera o seu valor
singular;
- Com a intervenção, altera-se a construção vernácula e altera-se o seu valor singular;
Em segundo lugar, perante uma perspetiva histórica, levantar e exemplificar através de
projetos de alterações a moinhos feitos por diversos autores os tipos de intervenção
indicados.
Por fim esta investigação pretende também propor um projeto de arquitetura, com o
programa de intervenção num moinho sem lhe ferir a sua imagem, o seu valor artístico e
a sua valorização histórica, tendo em especial atenção as técnicas e conceitos adotados
pelos autores.
Pretende-se ainda que haja neste projeto uma valorização da paisagem mantendo a sua
identidade original.
The present work has the mills (production buildings, powered by renewable energies) as a target of study, taking in mind the value that they bring to communities and containing a set of knowledge and traditions, which have disappeared over time. In order to safeguard these constructions, it is necessary to raise awareness of the protection of this vernacular heritage, giving it a new life, through proposals for reuse that will benefit its surroundings in aesthetic, architectural, economic and social terms. These buildings, most of which are in ruins, if they are recovered, they will also be rejuvenating and rehabilitating the memory of the past, maintaining the same, or changing to other functions and activities. In the first place, this investigation consists of exploring three aspects of protection, favoring housing use in the rehabilitation of mills, but differentiated by the nature of the intervention: - With the intervention, the vernacular construction and its unique value are not changed; - With the intervention, the vernacular construction is changed, but its singular value is not changed; - With the intervention, the vernacular construction is changed and its unique value is changed; Secondly, from a historical perspective, to raise and exemplify through projects of alterations to mills made by different authors the types of intervention indicated. Finally, this investigation also intends to propose an architectural project, with the intervention program in a mill without harming its image, its artistic value and its historical value, paying special attention to the techniques and concepts adopted by the authors. It is also intended that in this project there is an appreciation of the landscape while maintaining its original identity.
