Inclusão de alunos com deficiência visual na educação superior: um estudo de caso na Universidade Federal de Sergipe

No contexto atual, verifica-se que um dos maiores desafios da educação está na busca de soluções voltadas a garantir a inclusão, principalmente de pessoas com deficiência, nas instituições de Ensino Superior. Tem-se, nesse movimento de educação inclusiva, o resultado de muita luta e transformações sociais, econômicas e culturais, que garantiram à aceitação de pessoas com deficiência, independente de qualquer que seja, em todos os níveis de ensino, inclusive no superior. É através de ações inclusivas que alternativas menos segregativas vêm possibilitando o ingresso de alunos com deficiência nas instituições de ensino superior. Este trabalho propõe conhecer como os deficientes, especialmente o visual, estão sendo incluídos na Universidade Federal de Sergipe, bem como identificar os obstáculos que estão interferindo na sua aprendizagem, visando contribuir nas discussões acadêmicas e institucionais para a efetividade da inclusão. Para tanto, o objeto desta pesquisa é o estudo dos dispositivos adotados, pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), para incluir alunos com Deficiência Visual (DV), analisados à luz das discussões atuais sobre a inclusão educacional em todo cenário mundial e particularmente no Brasil. A metodologia utilizada consiste num estudo de caso utilizando como instrumentos de recolha de dados questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os principais resultados obtidos mediante aplicação dos instrumentos são: a UFS está recebendo alunos deficientes provenientes do sistema de cotas. Esses alunos estão chegando à instituição. Ainda existem barreiras que dificultam o acesso e a promoção da inclusão dos alunos com DV. Embora muito já tenha sido feito, mas há necessidade de modificação e adaptação.
In the current context, it appears that the biggest challenge of education is focused on finding solutions to guarantee inclusion, particularly of people with disabilities in institutions of higher education. Has, in this movement of inclusive education, the result of struggle and social, economic and cultural transformations, which ensured the acceptance of people with disabilities, regardless of whatever at all levels of education, including higher. It is through inclusive actions that less segregative alternatives are permitting the entry in higher education institutions for students with disabilities. This paper proposes known as the disabled, especially the visual, are included in the Federal University of Sergipe, and identify the obstacles that are interfering with their learning, to contribute in academic and institutional discussions regarding the effectiveness of inclusion. Thus, the object of this research is to study the devices, adopted by the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), to include students with Visual Disabilities (DV), analyzed in light of current discussions of educational inclusion across the world stage and particularly in Brazil. The methodology used is a case study using as instruments for gathering data questionnaires and semi-structured. The main results obtained by applying the instruments are: UFS is getting disabled students from the quota system. These students are coming to the institution, but this is not yet prepared to receive them. Barriers exist and hinder access and to promote the inclusion of students with DV. While much has been done, it is just in front of everything that needs to be modified and adapted.
