Although the studies on International Mobility are extensive, only a few studies have recently focused on international Mobility in the context of non-formal education. The research aims to understand the influence and the impact of the international experience carried out by a group of 23 Dutch people who, from 2002 to 2014, took an extracurricular internship - volunteer at the NGO ARCA - Brazil, based on their own opinions and evaluations. The methodological option was a case study through an exploratory, qualitative, bibliographical, and documentary research. For this purpose, alongside a literature review, semi-structured interviews were conducted. The main results indicate that the subjects declare to seek through this type of activity, a professional experience abroad, allied to reasons such as having a new experience of challenging life. The research subjects also point out that the greatest gains of the experience are in the Personal and Interpersonal dimension and that this type of experience has a unique character of experiential formation for all the life that adds at the same time personal and professional growth. From the analysis of the obtained data, it is concluded that the accomplishment of international experience is satisfactory for the acquisition of professional competences, (in particular soft skills - transversal competences), acting as an element of added value for the professional career.
