This report aims to present the experience lived by José Eduardo Bruno de Sousa throughout his internship as assistant coach, as well as the training process of the senior male team at Clube Atlético e Cultural da Pontinha, in the 2020/21 season, describing the microcycles, training methods and game model in the different phases of the season. The standard microcycle was respected over the competitive period, with only variations in the volume of training methods. In the pre-competition period, the training methods with greater volume were specific preparation methods, with reduced games with and without external support, and with an asymmetrical number of goals. The training methods with less volume were the general preparation methods. There were 3 friendly games per week. In the first phase of the competitive period, before the second stop due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the percentage of specific preparation methods was even higher, reaching almost 75% of the training sessions, with the objective of providing the squad with technical-tactical requirements associated with the competition. The tactical system used was the 1-4-4-2. During the second stop, which in this report is called the transition period, and which lasted more than three months, there were always online and self-directed trainings, but there was resistance to carry out this type of training in certain conditions, such as being in a apartment or there are multiple network connection failures. In the second phase of the competitive period, with a new technical team, the specific methods of preparation lost volume to 50%, with the general preparation methods, with least volume, having the greatest gain in volume, remained identic to specific methods of general preparation, with approximately 25%. The biggest focus in training was the swing of the defensive sector and offensive transitions, with a focus on the last pass and score. They tried to implement a 1-4-3-3 system, but after less positive results, there was a return to 1-4-4-2. Finally, a tool for analyzing the performance of crosses is presented. This tool was developed to provide several statistical data regarding the performance during the observed crosses. Keywords: Football, Training Methods, Microcycle, Cross
