Resumo
A adega da Herdade da Madeira, identifica-se como um espaço rural ligado ao setor
vitivinícola. Ao longo dos anos, passou da plantação de sobreiros para a plantação dos
primeiros hectares de vinha, marcando assim o seu nome em solo alentejano.
Após a sua construção em 2003, não sofreu qualquer intervenção estrutural, mantendo
assim os mesmos usos. Apesar da construção da nova sede, desta feita em São Miguel de
Machede, as antigas instalações ainda são utilizadas para armazenamento e produção de
vinho de casca tinta.
Com esta proposta de reabilitação, pretende-se reorganizar os espaços e elevar o potencial
do local. O enoturismo, sendo uma excelente ferramenta de marketing, permite que os
seus produtos cheguem a um público-alvo muito maior, não só nacional como também
internacional. Assim, a inserção destes alojamentos a sul da adega, na cota mais alta de
um dos parcelares de vinha, permite que turismo tenha um contacto mais próximo com o
produto e com a terra de onde provêm esse mesmo.
The Herdade da Madeira winery is identified as a rural area linked to the wine sector. Over the years, it went from planting cork oaks to planting the first hectares of vineyards, thus marking its name on Alentejo soil. After its construction in 2003, it did not undergo any structural intervention, thus maintaining the same uses. Despite the construction of the new headquarters, this time in São Miguel de Machede, the old facilities are still used for storage and production of red wine. With this rehabilitation proposal, it is intended to reorganize the spaces and raise the site's potential. Wine tourism, being an excellent marketing tool, allows its products to reach a much wider audience, not only nationally but also internationally. Thus, the insertion of these lodgings to the south of the winery, at the highest level of one of the vineyard plots, allows tourism to have closer contact with the product and the land from which it comes.
