O presente trabalho propõe estudar o uso da cor na obra construída em Portugal do
arquiteto Eduardo Souto de Moura. Pretendemos compreender a matriz do uso da cor na obra de
Souto Moura. Para interpretativa da obra de Souto de Moura, apoiando-nos nos estudos
desenvolvidos pelo arquiteto, nas suas referências e visões preferidas no desenvolvimento de um
projeto, no que respeita ao espaço, ambiente, natureza, forma e cor. Pretende-se analisar a
influência dos fatores culturais na obra de Eduardo Souto de Moura, principalmente nas escolhas
cromáticas do seu trabalho.
O objetivo deste trabalho surge da importância de refletir acerca da cor na obra do arquiteto
Souto de Moura, integrando-a no contexto arquitetónico português. A análise da cor no trabalho
desenvolvido por Souto de Moura não pretende ser uma análise aprofundada das opções e métodos
utilizados pelo arquiteto, mas antes uma análise reflexiva e interpretativa da sua obra.
Através da pesquisa efetuada, este trabalho suportar-se-á na revisão da literatura acerca do trabalho
de Souto de Moura. Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Luiz Barragan, Álvaro Siza Vieira e
particularmente o arquiteto Fernando Távora, enquanto referências importantes para Souto de
Moura, serão destacados nesta abordagem.
This paper proposes to study the use of color in the work built in Portugal by architect Eduardo Souto de Moura. We are to understand the matrix of the use of color in the work of Souto Moura. For interpretative work of Souto de Moura, relying on studies prepared by the architect, in its references and preferred to develop a project visions with regard to space, environment, nature, shape and color. It is intended to analyze the influence of cultural factors in the work of Eduardo Souto de Moura, especially in chromatic choices of their work. The objective of this work arises from reflecting on the importance of color in the work of architect Souto de Moura, integrating it into the Portuguese architectural context. The analysis of color in the work of Souto de Moura is not intended to be a thorough analysis of options and methods used by the architect, but a reflexive and interpretative analysis of his work. Through the research conducted, this work will stand up in the literature review on the work of Souto de Moura. Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Luis Barragan, Alvaro Siza Vieira and particularly the architect Fernando Tavora as important references for Souto de Moura, will be featured in this approach.
