Resumo
Esta pesquisa germinou do nosso convívio com os afrodescendentes no espaço escolar. O
objetivo da mesma é realizar uma averiguação de como os educadores estão fazendo para
resgatar a valorização da cultura afro-brasileira nas instituições de ensino. Durante a
realização do trabalho, foi possível levantarmos dados e adentrarmos em leituras que
retratam o assunto em pauta. Percebemos que através das leituras, a cultura afro-brasileira
foi muito significativa para o nosso país. A referida pesquisa iniciou-se a partir de um
trabalho de campo, onde nos deu a oportunidade de entrevistarmos os educadores de uma
escola municipal, enfatizando o assunto, do qual nos interessou. A mesma, também aborda
subsídio referente à Lei 10.639/03, de forma que aponta a relevância do estudo da cultura
afro no currículo escolar. O estudo foi pautado em uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa,
e quanto aos objetivos, obedeceu ao caráter descritivo. Acreditamos que as discussões,
envolvimento e realizações, venham trazer à sociedade uma contribuição, tanto social como
cultural. Portanto, poderá abrir caminhos, norteando assim um grande favorecimento para
uma sociedade onde todos valorizem e respeite as diferenças, dando espaço à diversidade
cultural.
This research was inspired by my work with afro-descendants at school. Its purpose was to find out how educators are doing to rescue and enhance the African-Brazilian culture in educational institutions. During the work, it was possible to gather data from reading the subject guidelines. We realize, through the above-mentioned readings, how the African- Brazilian culture is significant for our country. This research plan started with a field study which gave us the opportunity to interview educators in a school hall, emphasizing the subject, which interested us. The same also discussed subsidies related to Law 10,639/03 which point to the relevance of the study of African culture in the school curriculum. The study was guided by a qualitative approach, and geared into objectives. We believe that the findings, results and discussions, will bring a contribution to society, both socially and culturally since they can open paths, thus bringing some stimulus for society tovalue and respect differences, making room for cultural diversity.
