Estudo da relação entre a adesão ao papel de género e os componentes das atitudes perante a homossexualidade

Resumo
Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as relações dos componentes cognitivos, afetivos e comportamentais das atitudes perante a homossexualidade e as influências da adesão ao papel de género nestas relações. Desta maneira, o estudo baseia-se em perspetivas filosóficas, psicológicas, biológicas, genéticas e socioculturais relativamente género, a sexualidade, orientação sexual implicadas pela religião, moral e ciência nos últimos seculos.
A amostra foi constituída por 194 sujeitos adultos, entre os 18 e 65 anos, sendo que 85 são do género masculino e 109 do género feminino, com uma média de 30.17 anos (DP=9.464).
No intuito de investigar as variáveis das atitudes perante a homossexualidade e a adesão ao papel de género foi aplicado um questionário composto por uma avaliação sociodemográfica e as medidas Escala de Orientação Sexual Kinsey, Escala de Estilo Religioso, Questionário de Opiniões sobre Homossexualidade, Hypergender Ideology Scale, Atittudes Toward Lesbian and Gay Men, e, Affective Reaction to Homossexuality Scale.
Os resultados sugerem diferenças significativas entre homens e mulheres relativamente as atitudes perante a homossexualidade, bem como a o processo de aderência ao papel de género, diferenças estas, que também foram encontradas relativamente a variável orientação sexual e religião. Conclui-se que a medida que as tendências a aderência ao papel de género elevam-se, mais negativas são as atitudes perante a homossexualidade.
This study aims to analyze the relationship between cognitive components, affective and behavioral attitudes towards homosexuality and the influences of adherence to gender role in these relations. Thus, the study is based on philosophical perspectives, psychological, biological, genetic and socio-cultural toward gender, sexuality, sexual orientation implied by religion, morality and science in recent centuries. The sample consisted of 194 adults with ages between 18 and 65 years, and 85 of them are male gender and 109 are female, with an average of 30.17 years (SD = 9,464). In order to investigate the variables of attitudes towards homosexuality and adherence to gender role, was applied a questionnaire composed of a sociodemographic and measures Sexual Orientation Kinsey Scale, Religious Style Scale, Opinions Questionnaire on Homosexuality, Hypergender Ideology Scale, Atittudes Toward Lesbian and Gay Men, and Affective Reaction to Homosexuality Scale. The results suggest significant differences between men and women on attitudes towards homosexuality, as well as adherence to process the gender role differences these, which were also found for variable sexual orientation and religion. It follows that as trends adherence to gender role tower, are more negative attitudes towards homosexuality.
