Prevenção do bullying em comunidade escolar: um estudo numa escola angolana

Resumo
O estudo que se apresenta tem como objetivo analisar as perceções de estudantes, pais
e encarregados de educação de uma escola angolana, do 2º Ciclo do Ensino Secundário, de
forma a prevenir o bullying, através do diálogo e da responsabilização, individual e coletiva,
em comunidade educativa. A seleção da problemática do bullying deve-se ao facto de
constituir um fenómeno preocupante, que tem vindo a aumentar os índices de violência na
escola, contribuindo para o mal-estar de muitos alunos, face ao confronto entre vítimas e
agressores, nos espaços interiores e exteriores da escola, em especial no recreio.
Neste sentido, concretizou-se uma pesquisa de natureza quantitativa, tendo sido
elaborados e aplicados dois inquéritos por questionário, a estudantes e respetivos pais e
encarregados de educação. O cruzamento dos dados obtidos permitiu confirmar que os
respondentes, em relação a este problema, têm consciência da importância do diálogo, da
empatia, da responsabilização e da informação/ formação dos membros da comunidade
educativa. Globalmente, o professor é considerado essencial, na ajuda às vítimas e na
prevenção de casos de bullying. Contudo, nem sempre há o necessário diálogo na família e
muitos pais desconhecem o envolvimento dos filhos em situações de violência. Conclui-se,
então, que a prevenção do bullying implica um trabalho conjunto entre a escola e a família,
tendo por base o diálogo e o trabalho colaborativo, em comunidade.
The present study aims to analyze the perceptions of students and parents of a 2nd Cycle of a Secondary Education Angolan School, with the objective of preventing bullying, through individual and collective dialogue and accountability in the educational community. The selection of bullying for this study is due to the fact that it is a worrying phenomenon, which has been increasing the levels of violence in the school. This has contributed to the dissatisfaction of many students, given the confrontation between victims and perpetrators, in the indoor and outdoor school spaces, especially in the playground. With the above presented objective, a quantitative research has been carried out, developing and applying two questionnaire surveys to students and their respective parents/ caregivers. The analysis of the obtained data confirms that, in relation to the bullying issue, the respondents are aware of the importance of dialogue, empathy, accountability and information/ training of members of the educational community. Globally, the teacher is considered essential in helping victims and preventing cases of bullying. However, there is not always the necessary family dialogue, and many parents are unaware of the involvement of children in situations of violence. Then, it can be concluded that the prevention of bullying involves a joint effort between the school and the family, based on dialogue and collaborative work in the community.
