A literatura
Burnout is a syndrome related to a prolonged exposure to stress factors in the work context that affect subjects in their daily lives, especially at work. These factors can be, for example, work conditions, work support network and quick wear professions. Besides these factors, there are other factors such as personal factors and social factors that can also lead to Burnout. On the other hand, executive functions are a person’s set of resources to carry out behaviors that lead to an objective. These are central to the subject’s daily lives, whether in the workplace or in their daily lives. The literature indicates that there is a relationship between Burnout and cognitive functioning. However, few studies specifically show the relationship between this syndrome and executive functions. The aim of this systematic review was to explore the impact that Burnout has on the executive functioning of healthy active adults. The review identified 17 English-language studies, published between 1990 and 2020. The results suggest that the link between Burnout and deficits in executive functions are inconclusive, as the low performance of executive functions in clinical groups, in relation to healthy groups, did not stand out in all studies.
