Resumo
Um Projeto de Agroturismo na Quinta da minha família – com o objetivo de estudar,
explorar e ganhar conhecimento sobre as áreas da agricultura, agropecuária e a ligação da
arquitetura e do ser humano com estas. Perceber como funciona e como poderá funcionar
melhor uma quinta, reabilitar as estruturas já existentes, criar espaços de convivência e de
harmonização com a natureza.
Este projeto surge de uma tempestade que há alguns anos atrás destruiu
significativamente o edificado da Quinta de exploração animal deixada à minha família, por
parte do meu avô. A ideia que apresento consiste, assim, numa intervenção e possível
reestruturação da mesma, num projeto relacionado com a agricultura, a pecuária e toda a
natureza envolvente, que seja por si próprio o mais autossustentável possível. Neste sentido,
irá passar pela reconstrução do edifício principal já existente (embora em muito mau estado),
a intervenção da zona bovina e a criação de novos espaços, entre outros.
A exploração e o comércio de bovinos são o principal sustento da Quinta e, por isso,
um ponto que gostaria de destacar com uma certa importância. Acredito que o modo como
funciona atualmente poderá também ser alterado, melhorado, tornar-se mais adequado à
envolvente no seu contexto.
An Agritourism project of the farm of my family – with the purpose of studying, exploring, and acquiring knowledge about the areas of agriculture, livestock, and the connection of architecture and human beings with them. Understanding how a farm works and how it can work better, rehabilitating existing structures, creating spaces for coexistence and harmonization with nature. This project arises from a storm that some years ago significantly destroyed the building of the farm that was left to my family by my grandfather. Therefore, the idea that I intend to present consists of an intervention and a possible restructuring of the farm as a project related to agriculture, livestock, and all the surrounding nature, in order to be as self sustainable as possible. In this sense, the project will focus on the reconstruction of the existing main building (although it is in very poor conditions), the intervention of the bovine zone, and the creation of new spaces, among others. The exploitation and trade of cattle are the main livelihood of the Quinta and, therefore, a point that I would like to highlight with a certain importance. I believe that the way it works today can also be changed, improved, and turned into more appropriate for the environment and with its surroundings
