Educação integral em escolas de ensino fundamental: um contributo para o desenvolvimento global dos alunos

Há menos de três anos, na cidade de Manaus (AM), implementou-se a oferta
de Educação Integral (EI), em tempo integral, em seis escolas municipais. Na maioria
das escolas públicas municipais, esta apresenta-se por meio do Programa Mais
Educação (PME). Este programa tem um acréscimo de três horas de aulas para ações
do currículo diversificado, tal como esporte, dança, música e artes. A pesquisa
realizada, de natureza qualitativa, descritiva, teve como objetivo analisar o processo de
educação integral em três escolas do ensino fundamental (duas da rede pública e uma
da rede privada). Como técnicas e instrumentos de pesquisa de dados, utilizou-se a
pesquisa documental e a entrevista semi diretiva com diretores, coordenadores,
professores e pedagogos, num total de dezessete sujeitos. Os dados recolhidos foram
tratados através de análise de conteúdo. A importância da formação em serviço dos
professores e outros atores envolvidos neste processo, a continuidade de estudos em
grupos nas escolas que ofertam a EI, para que se sustente a prática já existente, e se
renove cotidianamente esse fazer, à luz de exemplos exitosos, em atendimento à
exigência de formação de um ser global, foram os dados mais relevantes que
recolhemos nesta pesquisa.
Less than three years ago, in the city of Manaus (AM), full-time Integral Education (EI) was implemented in six municipal schools. In most municipal public schools, this is presented through the More Education Program (PME). This program has an addition of three hours of classes for diverse curriculum actions, such as sports, dance, music, and the arts. The purpose of the qualitative and descriptive research was to analyze the process of integral education in three elementary schools (two from the public network and one from the private network). As data collection techniques and instruments, documentary research and the semi-directive interview with directors, coordinators, teachers and pedagogues were used, in a total of sixteen subjects. The collected data were treated through content analysis. The importance of the in-service training of teachers and other actors involved in this process, the continuity of group studies in the schools that offer the IE, to support the existing practice, and renewed daily, in the light of successful examples, in response to the requirement of formation of a global being, were the most relevant data that we collected in this research.
