Análise estratégica do setor da náutica de recreio: estudo de caso sobre o cluster potencial dos operadores marítimo-turísticos do concelho de Cascais

As concentrações de empresas com a mesma atividade ou do mesmo setor designam-se por micro cluster ou cluster local, cluster industrial ou simplesmente cluster, cluster regional ou mega cluster e têm vindo a mostrar grande potencial devido ao pólo económico de construção de valor que representam.
Nesta linha, foi realizado um estudo empírico, de natureza indutiva através de entrevistas a um conjunto de empresas com a mesma atividade no concelho de Cascais, representantes de um micro cluster potencial do setor da Náutica de Recreio, no objetivo de responder a questões relacionadas com a vantagem do pólo económico para o setor, expondo as caraterísticas, competências e fragilidades condicionantes do seu sucesso, no âmbito da análise estratégica.
Foi realizado um questionário à procura no mercado nacional onde ficou demonstrado a pouca popularidade da entidade e a existência de segmento de mercado ainda por tratar.
Na sequência do trabalho de investigação, foi necessário verificar os fatores determinantes para o desempenho estratégico associado às condições e meio envolvente, nomeadamente os recursos humanos, os recursos naturais, a procura, infraestruturas do local, e por se tratar de um ramo do Turismo Náutico, foram considerados os fatores ligados à motivação turística como p.e. o clima, a História e a cultura.
Os resultados do projeto evidenciam a vantagem do micro cluster potencial e levam a concluir sobre a sua mais valia para o setor da Náutica de Recreio, tendo em conta a dinâmica económica promovida pela diversidade de interesses em sede de crescimento e desenvolvimento.
A business cluster is a geographic concentration of interconnected businesses, suppliers and associated institutions in a particular field and represents an economic center of constructing value. It can be micro or local, industrial, by region or even mega. In this line, an empirical study of inductive nature and qualitative strategy is performed and a group of companies were interviewed in the municipality of Cascais with the same activity in the Recreational Boating sector that seems to represent a potencial micro cluster. They answered questions related with their characteristics, strengths and weaknesses that affect success, in order to identify the economic potencial for the Recreational Boating sector in a strategic analysis. Also a survey performed to domestic market revealed low popularity of the entity dedicated to the Recreational Boating and some unexplored market. Following the research, it was necessary to address issues considered important and environmental conditions associated to the strategic performance like human resources and natural resources, demand and infrastructures. As a branch of the Nautical Tourism it was include related factors with tourism motivation such as climate, history and culture. Considering the economic dynamics promoted by the diversity of interests on growth and development, the project results by strategic analysis showed great advantage of the potential micro cluster for Recreational Boating industry.
