dc.description.abstractO envelhecimento constitui um dos principais temas da sociedade portuguesa de interesse no domínio das políticas sociais. O aumento da longevidade leva ao surgimento de diversas questões relativamente à forma como a sociedade lida com esta realidade. A afectividade é um sentimento que faz parte de todo o ser humano em qualquer idade, através da felicidade. A pessoa idosa não deve ficar privada de estabelecer relações interpessoais, visto se tratar de algo imprescindível ao seu bem-estar emocional. A Pandemia COVID-19 levou à adopção de novas medidas com o intuito de evitar a propagação da doença. No entanto, essas medidas, dificultaram as interacções entre famílias e, consequentemente, a vivência dessa afectividade. O presente trabalho de investigação conta com uma amostra de 13 (treze) indivíduos, sendo 5 (cinco) técnicos de ERPI's e 8 (oito) familiares de idosos institucionalizados. Foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, sendo realizadas entrevistas com o objectivo de compreender em que medidas a Pandemia COVID-19 condiciona a troca de afectos entre familiares e idosos institucionalizados. Analisando os resultados da investigação, confirma-se que a afectividade desempenha um papel importante quer para o indivíduo, quer para a relação que mantém com os outros. dc.description.abstractAging is one of the main themes of Portuguese society of interest in the field of social policies. The increase in longevity leads to the emergence of several issues regarding the way society deals with this reality. Affection is a feeling that is part of every human being at any age, through happiness. The elderly should not be deprived of establishing interpersonal relationships, since this is something essential to their emotional well-being. The COVID-19 Pandemic led to the adoption of new measures in order to prevent the spread of the disease. However, these measures made interactions between families difficult. This research work has a sample of 13 (thirteen) individuals, 5 (five) ERPI technicians and 8 (eight) family members of institutionalized elderly. A qualitative methodology was used, and interviews were conducted in order to understand in what measures the COVID-19 Pandemic conditions the exchange of affections between family members and the elderly in an institution. Analyzing the results of the investigation, it confirmed that affectivity plays an important role both for the individual and for the relationship he maintains with others. It was also possible to understand that the COVID-19 Pandemic conditioned this exchange of affections.en
