This work was carried out within the scope of the Master's Degree in Sports Training, in the surfing modality, where I organized and gave the training of the athletes of Academia Lusófona de Surf. With this work, I will report my experiences and learnings throughout the internship and also explore the knowledge I have used and obtained in it. I trained 2 types of athletes, the classes of foreign athletes included in the Erasmus program who trained during the whole internship, and the classes of Portuguese athletes from the Faculty of Sports from Lusófona University that where fulfilling the Sports Adventure discipline who had 8 trains each. In this report I will explore several themes that I considered to be relevant in the context of this internship, including the knowledge that guided my actions throughout it. Even though I trained with the whole classes, I chose 3 specific athletes to report in this work as a more specific example of progress and evolution of the athletes, the 3 athletes were chosen because they were in 3 different situations, being that athlete X was an athlete of the Faculty of Sport with more difficulties in surfing, athlete Y was an athlete of the Faculty of Sport with more surfing aptitude, and athlete Z was an athlete of the class of Erasmus who I accompanied during the whole internship. Throughout the process I was able to help many students to evolve in the modality and at the same time I learned several new tools and methods to enhance the athlete’s success and the effectiveness of my training. The 3 athletes X, Y and Z, although with different rhythms and evolution, finished all the training sessions much better than when they started and they all achieved the goal of being able to complete whole waves while standing by themselves. Keywords: Surf, Sports training, Internship, Young athletes.
