A dinâmica positiva da secularidade como fundamento ético-religioso da ordem social que visa o bem comum e a felicidade privada

Resumo
Ao dinamismo negativo da secularização opõe-se o dinamismo positivo da secularidade, enquanto movimento social de separação entre o poder temporal e político e o poder espiritual e religioso. A tolerância religiosa e política da democracia ocidental desenvolve-se neste princípio evangélico judaico-cristão. Um princípio que foi esquecido no império da Cristandade e que foi corrompido pela revolução das luzes,mas que foi recuperado na ordem social contemporânea dos estados de Direito. A fundamentação ética da ordem política democrática atual assenta nesta ideia de que as religiões são concretizações históricas e relativas da universal e absoluta verdade divina.
The negative dynamics of secularisation stand in opposition to the positive dynamics of secularity as a social movement advocating the separation of temporal and political power from spiritual and religious power. The religious and political tolerance of Western democracies developed out of this evangelical Judeo-christian principle. This principle had been forgotten in the christian empire and adulterated by the revolution of the Enlightenment but which was restored to the contemporary social order by the state imposition of rule of law. The ethical foundations of the current democratic politics rest upon this idea that religions convey historical and relative representations of the universal and absolute divine Truth.
