Resumo
Esta pesquisa intitulada Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA): última chance, utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa, de caráter descritiva, realizada por meio de questionários estruturados para os alunos da EJA em atividade e evadidos, e também, entrevista com professores. Objetivando averiguar de que forma a Educação de Jovens e Adultos, como última chance, proporciona um ensino e aprendizagem eficaz para esses discentes, considerando suas especificidades do ensino fundamental. O estudo valorizou a fidelidade das respostas dos questionários respondidos pelos discentes em atividade e evadidos, bem como as entrevistas através dos professores, e após análise do material pesquisado, o resultado interagiu com a pergunta de partida, e objetivos propostos. Revelou que a EJA cada vez mais recebe alunos adolescentes, os quais se encontram em distorção série/idade na educação básica, e recorrem à EJA para recuperar o tempo perdido após anos de repetência, se juntando aos jovens e adultos que evadiram e estão retomando os estudos, comprovando que a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) é a última chance.
This research named Youth and Adult Education (EJA): last chance, using a qualitative approach, of a descriptive character, built for structured questionnaires to active and evaded EJA students, and also, interview with teachers. With the purpose of to find out how the Education of Young People and Adults, as a last chance, provides effective teaching and learning for these students, considering their specific elementary education. The study valued the fidelity of the answers of the questionnaires answered by the active and evaded students, as well as the interviews through the teachers, and after analysis the researched material, the result interacted with the starting question and the proposed objectives. It revealed the EJA receiving adolescent students, who are in grade / age distortion in basic education, and turn to EJA to recover the lost time after years of repetition, joining the youth and adults who have evaded and are retaking the studies, proving that Youth and Adult Education (EJA) is the last chance.
