sociodemográficas, clínicas e relacionais e as variáveis em estudo em ambos os grupos;
SS e Qdv.
This study was aimed to understand and comprehend the relations between sexual beliefs (SB), sexual satisfaction (SS) and quality of life (QoL) in men and women with and without chronic health conditions (CHC). The goals of this study were to: characterize sexual beliefs, sexual satisfaction and QoL in men and women with and without CHC diagnostic, explore the associations between sexual belief, SS and quality of life quality in both groups; explore the associations between sociodemographic, clinic and relational variables and the variables in study in both groups; identify explanatory variables of the SS and QoL in individuals with and without CHC. This was a transversal study where the process of sampling was notprobabilistic, for convenience. The data was analyzed for a total of 145 individuals. It was concluded that there were differences regarding QoL: the participants with CHC showed having, in average, inferior levels of QoL when compared with the healthy individuals. It was noticed that dysfunctional sexual beliefs were negatively associated to SS. Finally, it was also concluded that the relationship evaluation was revealed to be the best explanatory factor with regards to QoL and SS, achieving the fact that superior levels of satisfaction with the relationship, explains bigger and better levels of SS and QoL.
