dc.description.abstractImagens, objectos, escritos, vídeos, sons: estas são as marcas que os seres humanos vão imprimindo nos espaços que habitam. Com isso, criam constelações de objectos ou registos aos quais só a sua existência única e incopiável dá sentido. Com o inevitável desaparecimento desse ser, perdem-se também muitas das ligações que sustinham essa constelação. E então outras podem aparecer. Com o trabalho plástico que alimenta esta investigação, pretende-se explorar a capacidade de uma narrativa oferecer compreensão e significado ao arquivo, ao mesmo tempo destacando as suas limitações enquanto mediador da narrativa. Centra-se, assim, na ausência da figura do narrador da sua própria história. Ao fazê-lo, centra-se também na presença de narradores alternativos que procurem dar sentido aos registos, ou mesmo manter - e até reorganizar - vestígios deixados por outros. Este projecto artístico examina a interseção entre a memória, a colecção e o arquivo e a ausência de um narrador e, consequentemente, o potencial de criação de novas narrativas. dc.description.abstractImages, objects, writings, videos, sounds: these are the traces that humans imprint upon the spaces they inhabit. Through these, they create constellations of objects or records imbued with meaning by their unique and unrepeatable existence. With the inevitable disappearance of that being, many of the connections sustaining such constellations are also lost. And yet, new ones may emerge. The artistic work underpinning this investigation seeks to explore the ability of a narrative to provide understanding and meaning to the archive, while simultaneously highlighting its limitations as a mediator of storytelling. It focuses on the absence of the narrator of their own story, while also emphasising the presence of alternative narrators who seek to interpret the records or even preserve—and potentially reorganise—the traces left by others. This artistic project examines the intersection of memory, collection, and archive, alongside the absence of a narrator, and consequently, the potential for creating new narratives. Through a series of artistic productions, the aim is to reflect on the place of memory and the construction of new narratives in the absence of a storyteller.en
