No âmbito da conclusão do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária da Uni versidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, foi realizado o presente relatório de
estágio. Este relatório teve como objetivo a realização de uma revisão bibliográfica atuali zada sobre tumores mamários felinos e, a apresentação e discussão de três casos clínicos
que foram acompanhados durante o período do estágio curricular, no Hospital Veterinário
Berna.
Os três casos correspondem a três gatas, com idades entre os nove e os onze
anos. Em cada uma destas situações, foram feitos diagnósticos, recorrendo à histopatolo gia, com classificação dos mesmos quanto ao grau e estadio. Estas pacientes foram acom panhadas através de consultas, com interpretação dos exames complementares realizados
durante o tratamento, e de acordo com a informação do processo nos registos médicos.
Nos casos clínicos referenciados foi realizada cirurgia, quimioterapia metronó mica e convencional, tendo ainda sido realizada imunoterapia no terceiro caso clínico. De
realçar que, geralmente os tumores mamários felinos apresentam um prognóstico reserva do, e um tempo de sobrevida curto.
As part of the conclusion of the Integrated Master in Veterinary Medicine at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, the present case report was carried out. This case report aimed to carry out an updated bibliographic review on mammary tumors in female cats and to present and discuss three clinical cases followed during the internship period at Hospital Veterinário Berna. The three cases correspond to female cats between 9 and 11 years old. Their diagnoses were obtained by histopathology and they were classified into stage and grade and followed in consults and with complementary exams and this information was obtained in the medical records of the hospital. In all the cases it was performed a mastectomy and treatments with conventional or metronomic chemotherapy. Surgery and chemotherapy are the conventional and indicated treatment for this kind of neoplasia. The third case was treated also with immunotherapy, a complementary treatment being studied. Generally the mammary feline tumors will present a poor prognosis and a short survival time.
