A biblioteca escolar é reconhecida atualmente como instrumento indispensável no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, constituindo-se em espaço para desenvolver competências, obtenção de conhecimentos e fazer bom uso da informação, consequentemente, o usuário vai catalisando aprendizados ao longo da vida. A presente Dissertação teve como objeto de estudo a biblioteca escolar, pretendeu-se através deste estudo compreender, como os professores e diretor perspetivam a biblioteca na escola e que valor dão à sua existência. O procedimento foi elaboração de questionários para as entrevistas semiestruturadas, tendo como base o quadro teórico. Para realização das entrevistas foram utilizados recursos tecnológicos, os aplicativos zoom, whatsapp e Outlook. Foram entrevistados diretores e professores que responderam às questões elaboradas intencionalmente para pergunta de partida. Os objetos de estudo foram as escolas A, B e C, devidamente caracterizadas adiante, escolhidas por conter as bibliotecas que inspiraram esta pesquisa. De acordo com a pesquisa conclui-se que o pouco conhecimento do bibliotecário; incumprimento das leis, falta de recursos; desatenção e desinteresse; são fatores que acarretam desvalorização da biblioteca da escola. Para alguns dos entrevistados a biblioteca está defasada e desorganizada, contudo, de acordo com algumas respostas, pode-se concluir que existe um esforço em valorizar as bibliotecas escolares. Os entrevistados e as escolas têm os nomes ocultados conforme o código de ética, anexo 1.
The school library is currently recognized as an indispensable instrument in the teaching-learning process, constituting a space to develop skills, obtain knowledge and make clever use of information, consequently, the user will catalyze lifelong learning. The present Dissertation had as object of study the school library, it was intended through this study to understand, how the teachers and director perspective the library in the school and what value they give to its existence. The procedure was the elaboration of questionnaires for the semi-structured interviews, based on the theoretical framework. To conduct the interviews, technological resources were used, the applications zoom, whatsapp and Outlook. Principals and teachers were interviewed who answered the questions intentionally elaborated for the starting question. The objects of study were schools A, B and C, duly characterized below, chosen because they contain the libraries that inspired this research. According to the research it is concluded that the little knowledge of the librarian; non-compliance with laws, lack of resources; inattention and disinterest; These are factors that lead to the devaluation of the school library. For some of the interviewees, the library is outdated and disorganized, however, according to some answers, it can be concluded that there is an effort to value school libraries. Interviewees and schools have their names withheld according to the code of ethics, Annex 1.
