Resumo
O tema desta dissertação é a “Composição do Betão na Fachada Contemporânea".
Este tema, é explorado na construção de um Lar Residencial para Idosos, junto ao
Largo Actor Dias, na cidade do Porto.
O betão, material primordial no meu projeto, assume-se como o elemento integrador
entre o objeto artificial e a paisagem natural. Este, em consonância com o granito
“Porto”, expressa-se nas fachadas/alçados do edifício através da textura e cor. São
estes dois elementos que possibilitam a aproximação do betão ao material local
(granito) integrando-o no lugar. A materialidade é também fundamental sendo o
elemento físico que possibilita a criação de diferentes atmosferas potenciando
diversas vivencias e emoções.
Neste trabalho procuro salientar a importancia do betão na arquitetura, abordando
as varias possibilidades de expressão do material, conseguidas através do uso de diferentes
pigmentos, diferentes tipos de cofragem e diferentes tratamentos da superfície.
O Lar Residencial assume-se como objeto de restruturação urbana, onde o betão
assume um papel preponderante, respeitando o existente sem se sobrepor.
The theme of this dissertation is the "Composition of Concrete in a Contemporary Facade". This theme is explored in the construction of an Elderly Residential Home, near Largo Actor Dias, in Porto city. Concrete, the primordial material in my project, assumes itself as the integrating element between the artificial object and the natural landscape. This, in consonance with the "Porto" granite, is expressed in the facades/ building elevations through the texture and color. These two elements allow the blending of the concrete with the local material (granite) making it fit. The materiality is also critical, being the physical element that allows the creation of different atmospheres potentiating various experiences and emotions. In this work I try to emphasize the importance of concrete in the architecture, addressing the various possibilities of material expression, achieved through the use of different pigments, different types of formwork and different surface treatments. The Residential House is assumed to be an object of urban restructuring, where concrete takes on a preponderant role, respecting the existing without superimposing it. Keywords
