O Estado Social e segurança do cidadão : o caso português

Resumo
O presente trabalho analisa o percurso do Estado Social, como garantia e segurança do cidadão, desde os primórdios da nossa história até aos dias de hoje, fazendo uma análise pelo mundo financeiro tendo em conta o estado atual, seu desenvolvimento e aliado ao Plano de Estabilidade e Crescimento (PEC).
No atual estado do Estado Social, constatamos que os governos têm vindo a reduzir as prestações sociais, deixando transparecer em alguns casos, que não podem fazer mais.
Podemos concluir que a Segurança Social não pode sobreviver com falta de contribuintes.
Desenvolvemos a pesquisa documental e explanámos os nossos pontos de vista.
As crises mundiais e suas repercussões, modelos de Estado, são alguns dos itens em que nos debruçámos com maior incidência, falando também do Estado-Providência e da crise atual e futura.
A realidade social leva-nos a encarar o futuro com algum pessimismo, de qualquer modo esperamos que a Segurança Social, continue a representar o porto seguro para milhares de portugueses e esperamos voltar a ter um novo Estado Social.
The present work analyses the Social State path, of how it assures the safety of the citizens since the beginnings of History to nowadays, making an analysis to the financial world, taking into account the current state and its development allied to Growth and Stability Pact (PEC). Currently the Welfare State, where each year the governments constantly cut on social benefits, shows that there's nothing more to be done. We conclude that Social Security Service can’t survive with few taxpayers. We have developed a documentary research and explained our points of view. The world crisis and its repercussions, State models, are a few items which we decided to focus, also highlighting the Welfare State and the current and future crisis. The social reality makes us face the future with some pessimism, but we hope that Social Security (still) remains a shelter for thousands of Portuguese people and that a new Social State returns.
