Educação ambiental e interdisciplinaridade : um olhar sobre as concepções dos docentes e gestores

Dentre os desafios colocados para a educação, encontramos a crise ambiental decorrente do modelo de produção imposto à sociedade, proveniente da transição de paradigmas da relação entre o homem e a natureza, perpassando pela visão natural, racional e histórico-social. Esse modelo provocou impacto nunca ocorrido na história, trazendo diversos transtornos. O que parecia responder à necessidade da humanidade, nas últimas décadas, vem sendo questionado por não atender mais às promessas proferidas, desconsiderando a complexidade das relações envolvidas no meio ambiente e provocando a busca de um novo paradigma que aponte para um desenvolvimento que atenda ao interesse de todos os cidadãos. Com o foco voltado para novos padrões de vida e interação com a natureza, a educação ambiental vem sendo pensada como maneira de despertar a sociedade para um desenvolvimento centrado na sustentabilidade do planeta, isso implica uma nova ordem que exige políticas públicas voltadas às necessidades sociais. Sendo a escola uma instituição promotora da educação formal, deve estar aberta a essa discussão, que indica a reorganização curricular para que esse espaço se torne um terreno fértil para a educação ambiental. Sendo assim, este estudo buscou mapear as concepções de educação ambiental e de interdisciplinaridade adotadas pelos professores e gestores das escolas públicas estaduais, localizadas na cidade de Abreu e Lima, no estado de Pernambuco, objetivando compreendê-las para identificar as principais dificuldades desse fazer pedagógico. Utilizamos uma abordagem qualiquantitativa, gerando uma triangulação dos dados e uma análise dos discursos dos sujeitos. Concluímos que, apesar da interdisciplinaridade ser indicada como ponte para a abordagem dos temas globais, especialmente, o da educação ambiental, na realidade, esse conceito ainda está muito distante das práticas pedagógicas que são trabalhadas por todas as escolas de Abreu e Lima- PE.
Among the challenges for education, we find the environmental crisis resulting from the production model imposed on society, the transition from the paradigm of the relationship between man and nature, passing through the natural view, rational and social-historical. This model has an impact never happened in history, with several disorders. What seemed to respond to the need of mankind in recent decades, has been questioned by no longer meet the promises made, ignoring the complexity of relationships involved in the environment and causing the search for a new paradigm that points to a development that meets the interests of all citizens. With a focus on new patterns of life and interaction with nature, environmental education has been conceived as a way to awaken society to a development focused on sustainability of the planet, this implies a new order that requires public policy on social needs. As an institution that promotes the school's formal education should be open to that discussion, which indicates the curricular reorganization for this area becomes a breeding ground for environmental education. Thus, the present study analyzes the concepts of environmental education and interdisciplinarity adopted by teachers and school managers State in Pernambuco, from Abreu e Lima city; in order to identify the main difficulties in pedagogical activity. We used a qualitative and quantitative approach, generating a triangulation of data and an analysis of the speeches. We conclude that despite the interdisciplinarity be indicated as a bridge to address the global issues, especially the environmental education, in fact, this concept is still very far from teaching practices that are developed by schools from Abreu e Lima.
