Resumo
A presente dissertação de mestrado tem como objetivo o estudo de questões
referentes à arquitetura, pretendendo investigar de que forma o muro se comporta como
elemento habitado e demais formalizações que este pode adquirir.
O local de intervenção situa-se inserido na Quinta da Conceição, datada do século
XV. Atualmente o espaço, intervencionado pelo Arquiteto Fernando Távora, caracteriza-se
pela existência de vários muros com diferentes funções.
Estabeleceu-se como objetivo a reflexão das lacunas existentes no tema, com base
em casos de estudo, de forma a obter critérios que aplicados ao projeto promovam a
relação entre os muros e os espaços traçados para uma Escola de Dança.
Os muros que circunscrevem a área de intervenção, distinguem-se dos mais
recentes pela sua materialidade, o granito. São estes que vão dominar na hora de intervir,
sendo que alguns vão se reaproveitar e requalificar para serem parte integrante das
paredes da escola.
Os casos de estudo abordados na dissertação refletem temas como função e
materialidade, que mais tarde vão ser aplicados ao novo projeto.
A proposta reaproveita alguns dos muros, dando forma e função aos espaços
previstos para o local.
Refletem-se assim no desenho muros que separam zonas diferentes, que contém
todo o espaço da Escola de Dança e que desenham o percurso entre as escolas e o jardim.
It is reflected in the drawings, walls which separate different zones, containing all the space of the dance School that draw the way between the school and the garden. The proposal reuses some of the walls giving form and function to the foreseen place. The study cases approached in the dissertation reflect themes as functions and materials, that later will be applicated to the new project. The walls that cover the intervention area mark the most recent ones by their materials, the granite. These are the ones that dominate in the intervention time, regarding that some will be rebuilt and requalified to be part of the school walls. It was established as a purpose, the reflexion of gaps existed in the theme based in study cases to obtain standards that applicated to the project promote the relation between walls and spaces lined to a dance school.
