dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa de mestrado em Ciência Política tem por objetivo analisar o tema “Leopoldina/MG e o Conservatório Estadual de Música ‘Lia Salgado’: relações entre arte e cidadania. A oportunidade de pesquisar e problematizar a inter-relação Conservatório/cidade e investigar as contribuições das artes para a formação da cidadania surgiu com o mestrado em Ciência Política, Cidadania e Governação, no município de Leopoldina/MG, em acordo com a Universidade Lusófona de Portugal. Ciente de que as cidades constituem-se lócus em que as relações de poder se desenvolvem, procuro analisar, sob a perspectiva estruturalista, como os discursos produzidos a partir de uma escola de artes, o Conservatório Estadual de Música “Lia Salgado”, são capazes de interagir com os discursos produzidos pela própria cidade e, assim, influir na tomadas de decisões políticas do município, contribuindo para o seu desenvolvimento. Assumindo esse foco de investigação, penso o poder inspirada pelos trabalhos de Michel Foucault. Para Foucault, deveríamos falar em relações de poder e não em Poder, de forma que o centro de seu interesse estava nas relações, entendendo-as como um jogo de forças que atravessam as pessoas, os discursos e as práticas. Para desenvolver o tema proposto, a princípio, descrevo o contexto histórico, panorama político e social, imprescindível à compreensão das relações de poder que perpassam a cidade e o conservatório e que representa o recorte temporal em que os múltiplos discursos se processam e se atravessam. A seguir, discorro sobre as relações entre política e arte. Após desenvolver o tema “arte, cidadania e participação política”, analiso a formação artística e política oferecida por esta escola, isto é, verifico se a escola de música e artes em estudo contribui para a constituição de sujeitos cidadãos/ãs capazes de relacionarem-se consigo e com a sociedade, promovendo transformações políticas nos locais em que habitam. Por fim, verifico a contribuição política que as artes podem propiciar à sociedade leopoldinense.pt
dc.description.abstractThis research in Political Science aims to examine the theme "Leopoldina/MG and the State Conservatory of Music ‘Lia Salgado’: relationship between art and citizenship". The opportunity to research and discuss the interrelationship Conservatory/city and thus developing the possible correlations between politics and art came with a Masters in Political Science, held in the city of Leopoldina/MG_ in accordance with the Lusophone University of Portugal. Aware that cities constitute the locus in which power relations are developed, I analyzed under structuralist perspective, how the discourses produced from a school of arts, the “State Conservatory of Music ‘Lia Salgado”, are able to interact with the discourses produced by the city itself, and thus influence the political decision-making of this city, contributing to its development. Assuming this research focus, I employed the concept of power based on the works of Michel Foucault. According to him, we should speak of power relations and not of power exclusevily, so that his main interest was centered on relations, understanding them as a set of forces that permeate people, discourses and practices.To develop the theme, at first, I describe the historical context and political landscape, essential to the understanding of power relations that permeate the city and the conservatory and that is the time frame in which multiple discourses are processed. At second, I discourse on the relationship between politics and art. After developing the theme “art, citizenship and political participation”, I analyze the political and artistic training offered by this school. I check whether the school of music and arts in study contributes to the constitution of subjects/citizens able to relate with themselves and with the society they live in, thus promoting political changes. Finally, I check the political contribution that the arts can provide to the society of Leopoldina city/MG.en
