Resumo
Dado o nosso dia-a-dia ser feito de problemas e o nosso bem-estar depender do
sucesso das decisões tomadas, torna-se importante explorar possíveis variáveis implicadas
neste processo. Uma vez que as emoções parecem gerir a nossa capacidade de raciocínio e
decisão (Goleman, 2011), que a criatividade se revela importante no contrabalanço destas
faculdades (Damásio, 2011) e que a Inteligência emocional regula a nossa capacidade criativa
(Goleman, 2011), revela-se pertinente verificar se a Inteligência Emocional e a Criatividade
se encontram interligadas, e se poderão interferir na solução que damos aos problemas do
nosso dia-a-dia.
O presente trabalho tem então como principal objectivo conhecer a relação entre
Inteligência emocional e criatividade na resolução de problemas.
Este é um estudo que incide numa população de 205 indivíduos, com idades
compreendidas entre os 25 e os 45 anos de idade, profissionalmente activos. Neste estudo,
pretende-se perceber qual a relação existente entre Inteligência Emocional, Criatividade e
Resolução de Problemas. Foram utilizados a Escala Veiga Branco das Capacidades da
Inteligência Emocional (EVBCIE, 2004), o Inventário de Resolução de Problemas (IRP), Vaz
Serra(1987), e o Test For Creative Thinking – DrawingProdution (TCT-DP, Urban e Jellen,
1996). Como conclusão serão apresentados e discutidos os principais resultados.

Once the emotions seem to manage our capacity for reasoning and decision (Goleman, 2011), that creativity is important in counterbalance these skills (Damásio, 2011) and the emotional intelligence governs our creative ability (Goleman, 2011) it is appropriate to see how emotional intelligence and creativity are interconnected, and how can interfere with the solution we give to our daily problems. The main goal of this investigation is to know the relationship between emotional intelligence and creativity in problem solving. The population of this investigation is constituted for 205 individuals, aged between 25 and 45 years of age, professionally active. The main goal of this study is to see the relationship between Emotional Intelligence, Creativity and Problem Solving. The psychological instruments that were used were theScale Veiga Branco of Emotional Intelligence Capacities (EVBCIE, 2004), the Problem Solving Inventory (IRP), Vaz Serra(1987), and the Test For Creative Thinking –Drawing Prodution (TCT-DP, Urban and Jellen, 1996).
