Seguindo as

With this purpose, a project was developed with a class in the 12th year of the professional art course, at Escola Secundária de Carcavelos, entitled O Meu Manifesto. Using an actionresearch methodology based on teaching through art, following the ideas of the educator Fernando Hernández and Ana Mae Barbosa's triangular approach, this didactic experience allowed, within the scope of the History of Culture and Arts discipline, to give students the possibility to explore subjects of their interest, allowing to articulate the curriculum of the discipline with the themes that mark the present time. The goal is to provide students with an enlightened view of the importance of critical reflection as a disruptive action, something that, both before and now, enhances the transformation of paradigms. The manifestos resulting from this experience highlight the need that students have for projects that allow them to have a greater understanding of the intervening role of art in the world, not only as a way to develop their awareness and reflection skills but also as an essential tool in the construction of their artistic discourses.
