Resumo
Portuguese Higher Education is in a crossroad. By one hand, it helps the country’ economic development, either by staff training or by the practice of Excellence Science. On the other hand, due to budget, financing is increasingly limited. Within this context, the current financing model is being rethink. Several financing OCDE countries models are based on performance indicators. This article intent to contribute to national debate regarding models heterogeneity, from which some lessons can be withdrawn.
