Até ao início do presente ano de 2020, deparámo-nos com valores históricos no fluxo turístico a nível global, desde a democratização do turismo. Impreterivelmente, as viagens turísticas têm vindo a contribuir para o uso excessivo dos recursos do planeta. É imprescindível tomar consciência das nossas ações e sermos responsáveis ao contribuir com uma atitude consciente, em especial os que viajam. O aparecimento de segmentos de turismo fica definido pelas necessidades do mercado, e, poderá também ele ser a chave para o crescimento do futuro dos destinos. Nesta investigação trata-se o turismo responsável e como a responsabilidade do turista pode ser medida. Para tal, realizou-se tratamentos estatísticos em softwares como o IBM SPSS para a análise fatorial exploratória e o Smart PLS para a análise fatorial confirmatória. Estes estudos metodológicos contribuem para o desenvolvimento de uma escala de medição da responsabilidade do turista. A compreensão das dimensões de responsabilidade cívica e de responsabilidade filantrópica permitem conhecer como o turista pode atuar de forma responsável nos destinos sem comprometer a pegada ecológica no planeta.
Until the beginning of the present year 2020, we have faced historical values in the global tourist flow since the democratization of tourism. Without a doubt, tourist travels have contributed to the excessive use of the planet's resources. It is essential to become aware of our actions and be responsible by contributing with a conscious attitude, especially those who travel. The appearance of tourism segments is defined by the needs of the market, and it may also be the key to the growth of the future of destinations. This investigation deals with responsible tourism and how the tourist responsibility can be measured. For this, statistical treatments were performed in software such as IBM SPSS for exploratory factor analysis and Smart PLS for confirmatory factor analysis. These methodological studies contribute to the development of a measure scale for tourist responsibility. Understanding the dimensions of civic responsibility and philanthropic responsibility allows us to understand how tourists can act responsibly in destinations without compromising the ecological footprint on the planet.
